  • posted a message on Draw Decks and Some Feedback

My opinion is that Memorials should be removed from the game point-blank. Maybe keep them in for awhile until more multi-resource cards come out. They are already useless and nerfed to the ground in and of themselves - all they can do is block a single attack. I felt like with as few cards as there were around originally that they may have been necessary, but currently they add nothing interesting to the game.

In other words, these things promote INACTION. They give resources AND they block an attack. I understand stalling should be a viable strategy, but it should be interactive and engaging, not chump blocking and building up resources. My Energy deck stalls by removing threats from the field until I can put out enough of my own, not from ignoring my opponent for 7 turns because I can Summon up Memorials.

One could argue spells like Burn and Spark are not engaging, I agree, but that problem is neither her nor there in this thread.

This bug in some form or another is still preventing me from playing Scrolls. Even when I go into AI matches now, eventually the match will freeze when I play a creature.

Probably a server side issue, yeah.

When I play League of Legends, there's an occurrence called a "ghost game". It's when the server thinks you're in a game but you're not. League of Legends won't allow you to join a game if you're already in one, however, which copes with the possible issue of being in two games at once. I think a measure like that would be helpful and necessary.

Happened around 2:10 EST if that helps the devs. I found my first game against Sock freezing; I waited about 3-5 minutes and nothing happened; no creature attacked or turn passed or anything. I exit Scrolls and re-enter and queue for another match. I try to summonn a Dust Runner and it fails to appear. Next thing I know a message appears - FROM SOCK. I just found this very disturbing. I left the game telling one (or both) of them that I think I found a bug (after the screencap).

Again, received a message - clearly from a confused Sock (he likely heard my message of  "gl hf") - while in a completely different match.

It gives a warning in most places - if not all - that a deck will have the card removed from it if sold/traded before said action is complete. It'd be nice to have it before clicking on the thing though, that's for sure.

Well many scrolls currently have grammatical inconsistencies, so I don't think the text on the card proves anything. I'd test it myself but the test server seems inconsistent right now and I can't get any Efficiencies.

If someone's actually tested it though, then the question is neither here nor there.

I just had a curious question about Efficiency, if anyone has tested it.

If the unit it was used on kills multiple creatures, do you gain multiple +1's of Energy? Say that you casted it on a Relentless unit and that unit killed 2 units.

If I find the answer myself I'll post that here too, could lead to interesting synergy.

I'd be interested in physical copies as promo cards. Besides, even if Promo cards came out in-game now, they would have to be reworked after the Beta release.

I would like those Death Cap Berserks. I have some Growth cards - including two God Hands - and some other cards I'd be willing to trade.

It doesn't seem like a advantage or disadvantage issue. It seems more like a bug issue. Both players should start with the same number of scrolls shouldn't they?

No, it is actually programmed for players to start with different number of cards. Whoever goes first doesn't draw, is the rule in Magic:the Gathering. The disparity in the starting hand represents this same concept.

I honestly don't think this concept works in a balanced manner for Scrolls, but its just another thing that needs adjusting. It would be much more bearable if a player could choose whether they wanted to go first or not. Like, if they won a coin flip against the opponent, they get to choose.
