It really depends on you. If you are in a hurry to end it but don't want to surrender, you can just leave it open for them to destroy. If you want to keep playing then go ahead. People usually respect someone who sticks it out to the end.

If you are going to surrender, have a reason for it. If something comes up and you have to leave mid-match or something, tell your opponent in chat then surrender. If you are just annoyed and don't think you can win, then surrendering is rather annoying to the other guy. If you don't care about etiquette, just remember that when someone surrenders BOTH side lose gold. (Yeah, that includes you.)

How would they make money if Scrolls was free to play? If people didn't buy the game, game development costs wouldn't be covered yet. That means we would have to wait for a long time for new content...
